HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Does anyone get any work done during the holidays? Not much, I think. In addition to a little writing, I’ve been enjoying making tree ornaments. As you can see from the pictures, the theme is cats, cut from cardboard, painted with acrylics and decorated with various types of glitter.

I’ve also included some pictures of a "work" session–with the grandkids, Jesse and Leo, and my son-in-law, Steve.

We made the ornaments after we opened our presents. And to make things easy on the moms, we ordered dinner from a Chinese restaurant. Then we had cookies and ice cream sodas for dessert and played Botticelli, which has become one of the kids’ favorite games. After that we watched PRINCE CASPIAN.

A fun day on the 25th.

Hi Ruth, love the cat ornaments. What a cute idea--one I may have to steal for next year. My nieces and I could have a blast making different themed ornaments. They're 7 and 8 years old.

And of course I'm the biggest kid of all. I already have the acrylic stick-on jewels, the glitter, the paint, and all the different styles of decorative scissors and paper punches.

I'll see you at Nationals. I'm already looking forward to D.C. I've missed the past two years and I can't wait to see everyone.

Happy holidays.
